Winemaker Chad Stock is insatiably curious, and his experimental Minimus label is an incubator for new ideas designed to delve into natural winemaking and challenge basic viticultural theory. Chad eschews measuring sugars and acid levels in a lab. He relies entirely on time in the cellars and vineyards tasting, smelling, and tasting again. Chad made 515 cases of The Rockwell blend of 40% Tempranillo, 25% Syrah 20% Blaufrankish 10% Viognier and 5% Sauvignon Blanc, aged for 10 months in a combination of Acacia, American oak, Austrian oak, and French oak barriques and puncheons. It's an aromatic delight with honeysuckle, violets and ripe raspberry on the nose. Flavors of strawberry, and red current race around your palate. The texture is almost slick it's so smooth. It will pair with just about anything, most especially your wine-loving friends who are always excited to to experience something new. This wine is just plain fun.
