Winemaker Patrick McNeil crafts small production wines from family owned vineyards in Marin County and Napa Valley to offer a style that is fruit-forward, site specific, and off the beaten path. The Ellen Redding label is a loving ode to Patrick’s grandparents. Joseph Dennis McNeil courted Ellen Josephine Redding via the U.S. Postal Service from 1925 to 1928 with more than 50 letters and postcards. Each vintage and label tells their story. This 2015 Pinot Noir is sourced from Chilean Valley Vineyard, located in the Petaluma Gap AVA . It is generous and silky with aromas of blackberry, black raspberry, warm spice, vanilla and brioche. Pair this Marin County designate with everything from fatty fish and game birds to almost any pork preparation. Less than 200 cases made.
