The quality of Dolcetto from the village of Dogliani has skyrocketed in the last few years, and Anna Maria’s work is a good example of this. Her oldest vines were planted by her grandfather in the thirties, and
the vineyards are steep and perfectly exposed. The winery has eighteen hectares of organically-farmed vineyards that are 500-550 meters on some the steepest slopes in this part of Piemonte. The landscape is very dramatic and so are the wines. This 2016 is a classic: Fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel, it o ers a deep, purple color with aromas of blueberries and tealeaf, and the perfect tannic grip to complement the abundant fruit on the palate.
